Lalla Flower Farm is a unique historical horticultural garden of significance. Located 25 minutes north east of Launceston, this garden has a rich, diverse and exhilarating history. The natural beauty of this landscape has been returned to its former glory in which each part of the garden tells its own rich history of a powerful horticulturalist who created their own species of apple, grew and provided trees for the State Government and planted many species of Rhodo and ornamental trees that you can enjoy.
The Gardens are teeming with life and colour! What makes this garden unique is the blending of natural garden with the exotic plants. The gardens change gradually from a field of flowering plants and exotic trees (many in rows) through more natural woodland gardens situated among the native wattles and rows of trees left over from the old nursery, to the native forest walks at the top end of the property.
New planting mixed with the original compliment the transformation of what we are wanting to achieve.
At Lalla Flower Farm we offer unique experiences, such as guided and self-guided tours, walks, bird watching, bbq and picnic areas, as well as trails, small garden areas and flower enclosures. The garden also attracts much wildlife and native birds.
At the top of the property is a spectacular lookout over the region which encapsulates the fuller landscape that this unique property resides in. This garden offers you an experience that you will want to revisit time and time again.
